In the maths group, we have been learning about tidy numbers. How tidy numbers work to say that you have 49+25. What you would do you would get 49+1 and that would make 50 and then you would add 49 and that would be 75. And then you would - 1 and that would be 75 and that is a better way to add and subtract.
This is what our class Piwakwaka did in term 2. My favourite activity was a Kahoot the Kahoot that we were doing was about maths and if we could do another one I would. This is why I like Kahoots.
What I also liked it a lot was the spelling that we were doing was plurals and contraction but my favourite was plurals. And that is why I like the spelling so much.
One thing that we did outside was P.E with Naomi the skill that we have been learning. I like soccer a lot we play is tidy up. How you play tidy up you have to kick the balls to the other team and if you have the least amount of balls then you win.more thing's we did was the google music lab. The music lab is where you can create your own tune or music to go with a cool song that you can write.
We have been learning a song we have been learning e to tangata the song is in english called we stand together and that song is a bit fast because it is rap. And another song that has been learned is the yellow submarine.
My favourite thing was the flaxing we got to flax a bout basket so we could have a sausage on it it was so yum. I really like flaxing.
We worked on our Matariki art and the art has already been talked about on a nother blog post. I like it a lot.After that, I did an Animated Gif and I really liked it and I hope to do it again.
I really enjoy going to milo morning tea and the milo is really good. On Scratch we got to make a game and I really liked it the game that I created was ping pong.
For maths we worked on tidy numbers and I liked tidy numbers because it is now really easy to do maths now. so that how easy it is.
The last thing that we did was sculpt GL and I made a really cool unicorn and it was rainbow.

We have been making a Matariki Star. and we chose the picture of the Matariki mother. We did not put pink on it because we used shades of purple. I made the star on the tips of the strand on her hair. The people who did it was Lacee, Shae, and other people from Piwakawaka and Kereru. We searched the web to find the picture we wanted to put on our star. I think that we did a good job at it. Do you think so too?
On Friday we had a skateboard visit the skateboard was the biggest in New Zealand it was really big we got to see it with Ruma Kereru. We got to look at the bottom and but not the top. That was fine with me. The people were Matt, James, Beaumont and the Skateboard was 18 times larger than the normal one. The big skateboard came to present the skateboard and say that skateboard should be in the Olympics.
We had a beach clean-up on athletics we didn't find much rubbish on the beach. The first thing we picked up was a piece of wood then a couple of things from the beach. We had lots of fun the parents had to stand by the water just to make sure we didn't go in the water. We walked to the sunset point then our parents
would pick us up.
We have been working on our onomatopoeia art. first we had to draw our letters out. Then we had to cut out our background for the art, then we had to pick what color we want. Then we got Mrs Hickford to cut out the centre out then we glued all our stuff together. We had to draw a type of shape we had to draw how it looked from how we were sitting. some of us had to draw it sideways every table had a different shape. Mrs Hickford showed us how to make the square to make the shape the shape we had was the letter T we had a piece of paper that had dots on it. We tried it out. It looked really cool. The is what our shape looked like.
