 In the maths group, we have been learning about tidy numbers. How tidy numbers work to say that you have 49+25. What you would do you would get 49+1 and that would make 50 and then you would add 49 and that would be 75. And then you would - 1 and that would be 75  and that is a better way to add and subtract.

Tidy Numbers

At Maths time in the group that I'm in is learning about Tidy numbers. To do it is you either add or Take away a number. I add did one more to the 49 to make 50 then I added 25, and it made 75.  I took away 1 and that made 74. If we add the number we use the other number to add to the number, we add the numbers that we either take away or add. Tidy numbers are an easier way to add or subtract. Have you ever done this? If you did what was the number?

 We had to draw a type of shape we had to draw how it looked from how we were sitting. some of us had to draw it sideways every table had a different shape. Mrs Hickford showed us how to make the square to make the shape the shape we had was the letter T we had a piece of paper that had dots on it. We tried it out. It looked really cool. The is what our shape looked like.
